Allergens can cause allergies upon skin contact, when they are breathed, ingested or injected. An allergy starts when you touch, breathe in or ingest an irritant. In response to this trigger, the body begins making a type of protein called IgE or immunoglobulin E. Allergic reactions are quite usual and may take place seconds to hours after call with the irritant. Though numerous allergies are moderate, others might be dangerous or lethal. |
