Aplicabilidade da estereologia e microscopia de força atômica à pesquisa dermatológica veterinária (revisão de literatura)

Resumo


Em dermatologia veterinária, persiste a tradição morfológica de obtenção de dados essencialmente qualitativos. A estereologia e a microscopia de força atômica são técnicas que combinam estatística e microscopia avançada para obter informações quantitativas tridimensionais, como volume total, volume ultraestrutural, densidade volumétrica, número total de estruturas, dentre outras, a partir de imagens bidimensionais. Essas técnicas são cada vez mais relevantes para determinar a heterogeneidade morfológica comumente encontrada em amostras teciduais. A utilização concomitante dessas técnicas favorece a obtenção de dados matemáticos e físicos, os quais são mais fidedignos e de maior acurácia que dados morfológicos qualitativos, baseados em descrições morfométricas bidimensionais. Este trabalho consiste de uma pesquisa de natureza descritiva, na modalidade de pesquisa bibliográfica, a respeito do uso das técnicas de delineamento estereológico e microscopia de força atômica. Para tanto, foram selecionados artigos em inglês e português, de 2003 a 2019, a partir de bases de dados online (PUBMED, SCIELO). A estereologia e microscopias avançadas, como a microscopia de força atômica, são altamente relevantes pela capacidade de fornecimento de dados sofisticados e fidedignos na área de interesse, tornando úteis para práticas morfodescritivas veterinárias.
